Train Your Dog with Pawsitive
Pawsitive Dog Training offers personalized, one-on-one training sessions designed to help you and your pup succeed together. Private lessons take place in the comfort of your home and right in your own neighborhood, creating familiar, real-life settings that make learning stick.
Everything we do is fully customized — there are no standardized packages or preset programs. After your initial consultation, you’ll receive a training plan tailored specifically to you and your pup, based on your goals and priorities. Every dog learns a little differently, so we use a variety of methods to teach the same skill, ensuring there’s always an approach that clicks. And if your dog stops responding to one technique, we’ll mix things up to keep training fun, fresh, and effective.
Our hourly rate is $100, and there’s a one-time $50 initial consultation fee. The consultation fee will be credited toward your training if you decide to work together.

Initial Consultation
Every client’s journey with us begins with an initial consultation, held virtually for your convenience once you’ve completed our Intake Form. The $50 fee is fully credited toward any training you choose. During this session, we’ll get to know you and your pup, discuss your goals, and set priorities together. Afterward, you’ll receive a personalized training plan crafted just for you — setting your dog up for success from the very first Pawsitive step.
Puppy Training (8 Weeks to 6 Months)
Set your puppy up for a lifetime of confidence and success. Our approach focuses on nurturing trust, building positive habits, and supporting your puppy’s growth from the very start. Early lessons include house training, basic manners, socialization, and practical ways to prevent problem behaviors before they develop — helping your pup feel secure and capable in every new situation.
Adolescent Training (6 to 18 Months)
The teenage months can be challenging but rewarding. This program helps your growing dog navigate changes in energy, focus, and impulse control. We’ll work on strengthening reliability with cues, leash manners, and polite behavior around distractions.
Foundation Skills Training
For dogs of any age, foundation training focuses on real-world skills that make daily life smoother. We’ll teach behaviors like sit, stay, recall, loose-leash walking, and calm greetings. The goal is a dog that listens and responds, even when life gets exciting.
Specialized Behavioural Training
Whether your dog struggles with fear, anxiety, reactivity, or other behavioral challenges, or you’ve recently adopted a new dog or rescue, our specialized training is here to help. Each plan is built around your dog’s unique triggers and pace, helping them feel safer, more confident, and capable in their environment.
Adolescent Training (6 to 18 Months)
Turning Teen Turmoil into Tail Wags!
As your dog grows into adolescence, you might notice new challenges — like boundary testing, increased independence, and fluctuating attention spans. Our adolescent program is designed to guide your dog through this dynamic stage with practical solutions for channeling energy, improving impulse control, and deepening reliability with training cues — even as distractions ramp up at home and outdoors.
We focus on polite leash walking, building a dependable recall in busy places, and setting healthy boundaries. Training sessions reinforce manners around people and other dogs, address emerging behavioral issues, and prepare your dog to navigate everything from park visits to greeting guests with grace.
With patience, flexibility, and proven techniques, we support you and your adolescent dog every step of the way. Our curriculum adapts to your household routines and priorities, ensuring your dog’s skills develop for lasting success and a confident transition into adulthood.
